Software Update Scanner helps you keep your Android device updated, optimized, and healthy. The app allows you to:

  • Check installed apps for available updates
  • View Android system and software update status
  • Monitor battery health, charging status, temperature, and usage
  • Track app usage and screen time
  • View device information such as Android version, RAM, storage, CPU, and hardware details
  • Run an optional internet speed test (download/upload)

All core features operate using standard Android APIs. The app does not modify firmware, bypass system protections, or interfere with device security.

We do not require account registration.

B) Collected automatically (App)
App info & diagnostics: crash logs and basic performance data (app version, OS version, device model class) via analytics/crash SDKs.

Device & app data (on-device): installed app list, app versions, battery stats, usage statistics, RAM/storage info — all processed locally.
Device or other IDs: Advertising ID (resettable) for ads and ad measurement in the free version.

We do not collect:

  • Contacts, messages, call logs
  • Phone number, IMEI, IMSI, or serial number
  • Precise location data

Android restrictions prevent access to non-resettable device identifiers.



3) Why we use data (purposes & legal bases)

6) Data handling & retention

  • On-device data: app lists, battery stats, usage data remain on your device.
  • Support emails: retained only as long as needed to resolve requests and meet legal obligations.
  • Analytics & diagnostics: retained by SDK providers for limited periods (typically 13–24 months, aggregated where possible).

Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer required.



7) Your choices & rights

  • Permissions: grant or revoke anytime in Android Settings.
  • Ads controls: reset or limit Advertising ID and disable ad personalization in system settings.
  • Local data: clear app data or uninstall to remove locally stored information.
